Crysis 2 Advanced Graphics Options

Instructions

1. Once you have unziped place anywhere you want.

2. Delete any autoexec.cfg files found in the Crysis 2 root folder. (if you're asking what that is, don't worry about it)

3. Delete any target commands you may have put on the shortcut as they will override the autoexec.cfg that is created

4. Run the Crysis2AdvancedGraphicsOptions.exe

5. Hit apply once all settings are set

*note* You do not have to start this program every time you want to play Crysis 2.

This will work with any shortcut you make with Crysis 2. All this program does is create the autoexec.cfg

that Crysis 2 will use on startup.

The game runs awesome as is. I played at 1080p, 700/1000 in advanced and looks terrific. Sadly, 750/1050 render me a couple of GSOD with newer 11.4 RC2. But a stock clocks the game runs perfect. I'll try the config tweak program to remove the excess of AA used in the game, which in the demo allow me to gain some fps for better performance.

@fugitiv3 there are not a autoexec.cfg in the root folder, you must create it manually or using this program.

thx for the Nekki but in what folder do i need to create the file? or it doesnt matter?

I run the game at 800/1100 CC11.2 with hardcore settings and am getting 20-30FPS..the graphics look awesome but I want more FPS to feel the game more smooth... Probably i will disable motion blur lower AA and Anisotropy..

It actually runs that well? When I tried the Demo, it ran horribly on my G73 at which time I was using 11.2's.

Nekki, what quality setting is "Advanced"? Is that the highest or midrange or what?

Maybe I'll have to give this game another shot.....

Thanks man. Does it even look good on Medium? I have this disability that if I can't run things at high, I get mad. And I run it at High anyway and get mad because it doesn't run well lol....

Even in the lowest, the game looks amazing.

Actually:

Gamer = High settings

Advanced = Very High

Hardcore = Extreme

@dolsson: at the beginning the demo run choppy, but after the last automatic update, the game started to perform as the final version is currently performing. For full performance I removed the excess of AA which at 1080p is useless (and also the intro).

@fugitiv3 the progrma automatically put the cfg in the game root folder ( x:Crysis 2 or X:......steamappcrysis 2)
